Ice Skates; Illuminating Individuals

Ice Skating

Beat the hot weather and take a well-deserved break away from the stack of books you need to read, pile of untouched assignments and list of projects to complete and skate your day away with your closest friends! Trust me; you’re in for a treat and prepare your cameras to catch your friends’ greatest epic occurrences.

What used to be a facility catered mainly for individuals interested in figure skating, or team sports ice hockey has caught on in Singapore for individuals to turn to as a source of entertainment with 3 facilities spread across the island that offers easy access to most.

Kallang Ice World

The oldest of the 3 facilities but was recently revamped to upgrade their facility, Kallang Ice World is the most famed locally, especially with its recent affiliation to the new Sports Hub. It offers the most authentic ice skating experience in Singapore at rather affordable rates of S$17.50/adult and $15/child for a 2-hour skate session inclusive of skate rental.

The Rink @ JCube

These adorable skating aids are only available at The Rink @ JCube at either S$10 or S$15 each for a 2-hour rental period. Located in the west where many tertiary institutions are located, its strategic placing has reflected in its quick and inflated success over the years. Stay updated with their latest promotions that can be found at http://www.therink.sg/promotions.

The Skating Rink @ MBS

An unorthodox skating rink located in the heart of the city, The Skating Rink offers a 600-square-meter rink full of “imitation ice”. A perfect source of entertainment in the high life offered at MBS at just S$7/hour (adults) and S$6/hour (children below 12) with skate rental priced at an affordable S$3. Take note the rink is closed between 5pm and 6pm daily for maintenance so do avoid those hours.
